Community Code of Conduct

We are a community of enthusiasts who share a passion for joyful activities: hiking, paddling, winter camping, gardening, pottery, photography, and more. To ensure that our space remains welcoming, safe, and supportive for everyone, we ask that all members follow this Code of Conduct:

  1. Respect & Kindness
    Treat every member with kindness, respect, and empathy. Disagreement is natural, but always engage in a constructive and respectful manner. Discriminatory, abusive, or offensive language will not be tolerated.

  2. Positivity & Support
    Encourage and support fellow members. Avoid negativity, judgment, or toxic behaviour. Offer help, advice, and encouragement to others, and be open to receiving the same in return.

  3. Role Models for Responsible Practices
    Uphold principles like Leave No Trace in natural spaces. Follow all local regulations including park rules and environmental guidelines. Share knowledge on sustainable practices and help others learn how to enjoy the outdoors responsibly.

  4. Community Contribution
    Contribute to the community by sharing your knowledge, experiences, and helpful resources. Aim to give more than you take, whether through advice, support, or volunteering for group activities.

  5. Safe & Inclusive Environment
    Foster an inclusive environment where all individuals feel welcome, regardless of their experience level, background, or identity. Safety, both physical and emotional, is a priority in all activities and discussions.

  6. Participation at Your Own Risk
    Participation in online discussions and in-person activities are at your own risk. At no time will liability be assumed by another group member, trip organizer, or admin for accidents, injuries, or any other incidents. Please ensure you are adequately prepared and understand the risks involved in activities.

We aim to ensure that our community remains a positive, inclusive, and enjoyable space for everyone to connect, learn, and participate together.
